Installing the Integration

All integrations are separate plugins that the Connecter app installs to the supported host apps, including Rhino.

To manage the integration, you need to click on “Integrations” in Connecter’s menu to open the Integrations Hub. Press the “Install Integration” button in Rhino’s section to open the integration installation dialog.

There are two ways to install the Rhino integration:

  • With a drag-and-drop interaction.

or

  • Using the installation package from disk.

Installing the Integration With a Drag-And-Drop

To install the integration, click on one of the “Drag and Drop into Rhino to Install" buttons for the version of Rhino you would like to install and drop the package into Rhino’s viewport.

Installing the Integration Using the Installation Package

To install the integration:

  1. Click on the “Download Installation YAK to Install from Disk" link.
  2. Select a Rhino version.
  3. Select a folder where the Rhino integration installation package will be extracted.
  4. Drag the package file (for example, connecterplugin-0.5.3-rh8_16-win.yak for Rhino 8) from the folder and drop it into Rhino’s viewport.

Updating the Integration

When a new version of the Unreal Engine integration is released, you’ll receive a notification in Connecter. To update the integration, press the “Install Update” button in the notification and perform the same steps as in the “Installing the Integration” section.

Uninstalling the Integration

Inside Rhino:

  1. Run the command: “PackageManager.”
  2. Activate the “Installed” tab.
  3. Select “ConnecterPlugin.”
  4. Click the “Uninstall” button.

NOTE: After the integration is uninstalled, you need to restart Rhino.

Access the Integration in Rhino

In Rhino, the integration is accessed from the Connecter panel. From there, you can add objects from Rhino as assets to Connecter.
