Connecter doesn’t have a dedicated SketchUp integration, but it still offers functionalities that can significantly enhance your workflow. Here's how to manage and organize your SketchUp assets using Connecter:

  • Adding and browsing assets: Add your SKP and SKM asset folders from Windows Explorer to Connecter. That allows you to preview assets, assign metadata, and filter by type or format. You can enable the "Show assets in subfolders" option to view all folder contents without opening each one manually.

  • Previewing assets: Connecter displays native thumbnails and previews of SKP and SKM assets. You can also assign custom previews or use the Auto-assign Previews tool to build a more visually pleasing and functional library to ease up asset browsing.
  • Importing assets to SketchUp: Drag and drop SKP assets directly from Connecter to SketchUp. Other formats like 3DS, DAE, and STL are also supported. Materials (SKM) can be dragged to the Material panel for application.

  • Saving assets to Connecter: Save scenes or components as SKP assets with native previews. Export scenes as 2d or 3d models in various formats, or share them on 3D Warehouse.

Connecter helps you efficiently manage and reorganize your SketchUp assets, track content, and improve your asset browsing experience with Suite features like Local Pre-caching and Shared Content Metadata.
