All integrations are separate plugins that the Connecter app installs to the supported host apps, including Blender.
To manage the integration, you need to click on âIntegrationsâ in Connecterâs menu to open the Integrations Hub. Press the âInstall Integrationâ button in Blenderâs section to open the integration installation dialog.
There are several ways to install the Blender integration:
- Install from Blender.
- Install from the Blender Extensions Website.

Install from Blender
Inside Blender:
- Open the âEditâ drop down.
- Press the âPreferencesâ button.
- Activate the âGet Extensionsâ tab.
- Type âConnecterâ in the âSearch Extensionsâ field.
- Press the âInstallâ button.
Install from the Blender Extensions Website
- Go to Connecterâs extension page on Blenderâs website.
- Click on the âGet Add-onâ button.
- The button will change to âDrag and Drop into Blenderâ so you can directly drag and drop the package into the Blender viewport.
Install With a Drag-And-Drop from Connecter
To install the integration, click on one of the âDrag and Drop into Blender to Install" buttons for the version of Blender you would like to install and drop the package into Blenderâs viewport.
Install Using the Installation Package from Connecter
To install the integration:
- Click on the âDownload Installation ZIP to Install from Disk" button.
- Select a Blender version.
- Select a folder where the Blender integration installation package will be extracted.
- Drag the package file (for example, BlenderPlugin_0.6.21.zip for Blender 5.0) from the folder and drop it into Blenderâs viewport.
Updating the Integration
When a new version of the Blender integration is released, youâll receive a notification in Connecter. To update the integration, press the âInstall Updateâ button in the notification and perform the same steps as in the âInstalling the Integrationâ section.
Uninstalling the Integration
Inside Blender:
- Open the âEditâ drop down.
- Press the âPreferencesâ button.
- Activate the âGet Extensionsâ tab.
- In the âInstalledâ section of the right panel, click the arrow button on the left of the Connecter.
- Press the âUninstallâ button.
Access the Integration in Blender
In Blender, the integration is accessed from the right-click context menu in the viewport or the right-click context menu on a collection in the âBlender Scene Explorerâ panel to add objects and material assets to Connecter.
