The Process Manager offers an easy way to monitor background processes in Connecter. It's particularly useful for checking if a tool you launched is still running, especially if you missed its notifications.
Its primary purpose, however, is to assist our support team in troubleshooting any issues you encounter by providing them with detailed process information.
To open the Process Manager, you need to go to the “Tools” dropdown and select it from there. When the dialog opens, you’ll see the following:
- Name of the process.
- Description: A short overview of the process.
- Status: A clear indication of the state of the process.
- Startup Type: Automatic or Manual.
- Message: Our support team may ask you to provide the displayed message, in case you experience some trouble, to get an idea of what may be causing it.
- Activity: That’s a log of the actions that the service has gone through.
- Errors: When you click on the displayed number, a log of the errors that have come up will appear.
The last three columns in the dialog – Message, Activity, Errors – can help you, and better yet, our support team, understand what issue you’re experiencing and why.
