The “AI Studio Labels” tool helps you organize and optimize your asset annotation metadata by managing AI-generated labels effectively. With this tool, you can filter, sort, and manipulate labels, create tags and aliases from labels, and ensure your annotation metadata remains relevant and easy to use.

To open the AI Studio Labels tool, go to Tools > AI Studio > Browse Labels.

View and filter labels

  • Label List: The main area shows a list of all generated labels, along with the number of times each label has been applied to assets (shown under "Occurrences"). Click on the number next to each label to view the assets associated with that label. That opens all assets with this label in the Asset View and closes the AI Studio Labels window.
  • Filter by Name: Use the text field at the top to type in keywords and filter the list to quickly find specific labels.
  • Sort by Occurrences: Sort labels by how often they appear, helping you identify the most frequently applied labels.

Remove and forget labels

Use the “Remove and Forget” option to delete unwanted labels from your library entirely and prevent them from being generated in future annotation runs.

TIP: Cleaning up irrelevant or redundant labels ensures your annotation metadata stays concise and meaningful.

To remove unwanted labels and prevent them from being generated in future annotation runs:

  1. Select one or multiple labels from the list.
  2. Click “Remove and Forget.”

TIP: Periodically clean up redundant or irrelevant labels using the “Remove and Forget” option in the AI Studio Labels tool. That keeps your metadata organized and ensures searches remain precise.

Create tags based on labels to streamline organization

Create tags based on labels to enhance your tagging system with terms that are highly relevant to your library.

TIP: This is especially useful for labels occurring frequently across many assets, as it ensures they're consistently organized under a meaningful tag. Once a tag is created from a label, all assets with that label are automatically assigned to the tag, and future assets with the same label will also be tagged automatically, saving time and maintaining organization.

To create tags from labels:

  1. Select one or multiple labels from the list.
  2. Click “Create Tag” (for a single label) or “Create Tags” (for multiple labels).
  3. In the dialog, click “Create.”
    • Customize tag names: If you’re creating a tag from a single label, you can edit the name the new tag will take.
    • Set tag hierarchy: By default, new tags are created as root-level tags in your tagging system. However, you can search for and select an existing tag in the dialog to add the new tag as a subtag, creating a structured hierarchy.

Add Tag Aliases for broader searches

Assign labels as aliases to existing tags, grouping related terms under a single tag.

TIP: Tag aliases simplify searchability by linking similar terms, helping you find relevant assets faster.

To assign labels as aliases to an existing tag:

  1. Select one or more labels from the list.
  2. Click “Add Tag Alias” (for a single label) or “Add Tag Aliases” (for multiple labels).
  3. Type in to search for tags within your tagging system.
  4. Select the tag you want to add the aliases to.
  5. Click “Create Alias” (for a single label) or “Create Aliases” (for multiple labels).
    • Customize Alias Names: If creating an alias from a single label, you can rename it before assigning it to the target tag.
