How secure is my data during annotation?

Connecter only uses visual previews of your assets for annotation, not the assets themselves or their filenames. Previews are securely transmitted to the AI service for analysis and deleted immediately afterward. They aren’t shared with third parties or used to train AI models.

For more details, see our Terms of Use.

What happens if I stop an annotation process?

If you stop an annotation process, the metadata generated so far will be saved. When you restart, the process will skip already annotated assets and continue with the remaining ones.

Learn more in the General FAQ.

How do I manage costs for my first annotation run?

Start with smaller batches of assets to test the feature and refine your selection using the Cost Calculator. This helps control expenses and ensures your prepaid balance is sufficient.

Read more about the Cost Calculator here.

What should I do if some assets aren’t annotated?

Assets may lack the visual context needed for annotation. Ensure the assets have previews or add custom previews. You can also use the Generate Custom Previews feature to provide a visual context for unsupported formats.

Detailed troubleshooting steps are available here.

How long does the annotation process take?

The process duration depends on the number of assets and your system’s performance. Large libraries can take hours, but you can work in Connecter while the process runs in the background.

Should I start with Annotation Genie or Scheduler?

Begin with the Annotation Genie to get hands-on experience with the annotation process. Switch to the Annotation Scheduler for automated and recurring workflows.

What should I do if I run out of funds during annotation?

Add more funds to your prepaid balance and restart the process to continue the annotating process.
