Asset Auto-Tagging uses annotation metadata – labels and descriptions – created by AI Studio’s Annotation Genie or Annotation Scheduler. This metadata is mapped to your tagging system to apply consistent tags automatically. Reviewing and refining your annotations and tags ensures the best results, making Auto-tagging a powerful blend of automation and human oversight.

Preparing your library

To use Auto-tagging effectively, follow these guidelines:

  • Annotation-ready assets: Ensure your assets have been annotated using the Annotation Genie or Scheduler.
  • Refine your tagging system: Use the Tag Assistant to build or enhance your tagging structure. A comprehensive and meaningful tagging system is essential for successful Auto-tagging.
  • Review annotations: Examine labels and descriptions using the AI Studio Labels tool before tagging. Create meaningful tags from frequently occurring labels and remove irrelevant ones.

Steps to use asset Auto-tagging

  1. Open the Tool.
    • Go to Tools > AI Studio > Auto-Tagging.
  2. Review and accept the Terms of Use.
    • Click the “Terms of Use” link on the screen to read the terms.
    • Toggle the provided switch to agree and activate the Auto-tagging feature.
  3. Start the tagging process.
    • Click “Start” to initiate Auto-tagging.
    • A notification will confirm that the process has begun. The operation runs in the background and may take time, depending on the number of assets.
  4. Review the Process Summary.
    • Once completed, a summary dialog will appear with the following details:
      • Number of tagged assets.
      • Cost deducted from your prepaid balance.
  5. Undo Last Auto-Тagging Run (if needed).
    • Go to Tools > AI Studio > Undo Last Auto-Tagging Run to revert the last tagging operation.

Tips for оptimizing Auto-tagging

  • Start with small annotations: Annotate a smaller batch of assets first. Running Auto-tagging will only process those assets, allowing you to refine the workflow before scaling.
  • Refine labels: Use the AI Studio Labels tool to review generated labels. To improve accuracy, create tags from frequently occurring labels and remove irrelevant ones.
  • Enhance tagging consistency: Use the Tag Assistant to build a hierarchical tagging system and align tags with your organization’s needs.
