Proper file structure for Connecter?
I'm a little mixed up on how to set up my file folder structure to optimize connecter.
From previous years I have materials and maps spread all over the place. Can I put all of my material maps in one folder and count on connecter to connect the dots? Or do they have to be categorized more specifically?
I have several material downloads that have all of their corresponding files, (including maps), in one folder. And I have a folder called maps that has a hundred or so map images.
And, do I just need a folder named "Workspace" placed into my 3ds max folder to point connecter to that folder set? Same confusion for models and how they all relate.
Thank You in advance.

Hi Phil,
Straight to your questions:
1. Connecter won't automatically find everything you have but will give you tools to organize and link assets with external files. For example, Manage External Files for 3ds Max.
2. Learn more about the Workspaces in this guide. The Workspace doesn't have to be in 3ds Max - Connecter is not 3ds Max-specific software. You can create the Workspace wherever you want, following the requirements in the guide.
It's a good idea to check this blog article for setting up a Connecter.
