The “Replace Object <-> Proxy” functionality allows you to replace objects and their instances in your scene with proxies and vice versa. These objects and proxies must be added from assets in Connecter, using the “Merge and Place” and “Merge and Place as Proxy” functionalities.
When replacing objects or proxies, the settings from the “Proxy Settings” dialog are used to search for existing proxies and create new ones. If you haven’t used the “Merge and Place as Proxy” functionality, the first time you execute “Replace Object <-> Proxy”, the “Proxy Settings” dialog will be shown.
Take special care when you set the “Asset name”, "Object name”, and “Create a separate proxy for each object” options. For more information on the settings see “Merge and Place Assets as Proxy.”
