Overview
Assets Sets, Smart Catalogs, and Collection Sets are the main organizational entities of the Web Catalog feature. They can be shared with one or multiple Partners. An Assets Set contains hand-picked selections, chosen by Team Members, useful for showcasing a specific range of assets. It could be a subset of assets for a certain purpose, like an ongoing project, and it can be shared with a Partner.
Assets Sets can be accessed from the sidebar by clicking this icon . There are all Assets Sets and Smart Catalogs mixed together but sorted alphabetically for easier navigation. You can see how to differentiate them below.
Types
Assets Sets have special symbols on top so you can differentiate them easily:
– for an Assets Set not shared with Partner(s) – shows the number of assets in it.
– for an Assets Set shared with Partner(s) – share icon and the number of assets in it.
Access
Team Members and Partners have different access permissions in regard to Assets Sets:
- Team Members can access all Assets Sets.
- Partners can access only the Assets Sets shared with them.
What can you do?
If you’re a Team Member, you can perform the following actions:
- Create/Delete an Assets Set.
- Add/Remove assets to an Assets Set.
- Browse the gallery formed of multiple previews of an asset.
- Set a cover for an Assets Set.
- Share an Assets Set with one or multiple Partners or revoke a Partner's access to it.
- Rename an Assets Set.
NOTE: If you delete an Assets Sets, you don't delete the assets or their previews from the Connecter desktop app – you only delete the entity that contains them in Web Catalogs.
Assets Set actions available to Team Members.
Partners can perform the following actions on Assets Sets:
- Explore the assets in them and see their previews.
- If they have a Collection shared with them, they can select assets and add them to that Collection.
